My platform of choice is Word’s track changes. I will also use Google Docs and can work with PDF files as well.
The references I use are The Chicago Manual of Style and The Merriam-Webster Unabridged Dictionary. Although I am most familiar with these references, I am happy to work with any other references that a client may prefer, including your own style guide.
